NEW YORK, NY (JUNE 11, 2013) — Howard P. Milstein, Chairman of Milstein Medical Asian American Partnership Foundation (MMAAP Foundation), welcomed Genxiang Mao, MD, the 2013/2014 Irma and Paul Milstein Program for Senior Health Fellow in New York City.
Dr. Mao is an Assistant Professor of Molecular Pharmacology of Aging at the Geriatrics Institute of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang Provincial Key Lab of Geriatrics at Zhejiang Hospital in China. In February 2013, Dr. Mao was selected as the recipient of the 2013/2014 Irma and Paul Milstein Program for Senior Health Fellowship Award, sponsored by the MMAAP Foundation. Dr. Mao will receive one-year training in Dr. Sean Leng’s laboratory in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research project is entitled “A New Strategy for Delaying Cellular Senescence: Modulating Mitochondrial Biogenesis”.
