Vice Minister Liu Qian Meets With the President of the Milstein Medical Asian American Partnership Foundation

In the morning of December 29^th, Vice Minister Liu Qian met with Dr. Gerald Lazarus, the President of the Milstein Medical Asian American Partnership Foundation, MMAAP, and his colleagues at the Ministry of Health to discuss cooperation in health.

Liu Qian thanked Mr. Howard Milstein, the founder of the MMAAP Foundation, for his interest in China’s health care and willingness to develop cooperation with China. The two parties exchanged ideas about the model and emphasis of the cooperation between the Foundation and China. They also agreed on developing and strengthening the relationships between the Foundation and Chinese medical institutions with initial cooperative areas being skin research and geriatric medicine.

Leadership representatives from the Department of Education and Research, and Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Health and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences participated in the meeting.
